I liked this title so much that I wrote several songs for it, and this is the one, finally, that made it. The topic addressed in this song is what happens to lost memories. The nature of identity is also discussed. This might be my favorite song of mine since "Rich is Pretty Bored." -- Jeremy
Messages addressed to the commander of my mind / are flying in beyond the speed of reading them in time / The captain of my soul says / turn these symbols into signs / so I'll please the captain. / Soon the special semaphores are stacking up inside / and now they're disappearing as I brush them all aside / memories will dissipate, / all it takes is time, and / see how they leave me lost. / They're Lost, they're lost and wandering / in a dream. / Why do I identify with only certain things? / thoughts arrive in here and scare the old ones they replace / memories will dissipate, / spiral down the drain, and / I wonder, are they lost? / They're Lost, they're lost and wandering / in a dream. / Someday I may plan to join them / Lost and wandering / notions could become my friends / if I blend in the stream. / They're Lost, they're lost and wandering / in a dream / the same one I have seen. / Someday I may plan to join them / Lost and wandering / notions could become my friends / if I blend in the stream.
